The Scotland A team started badly with narrow defeats on day 1 to Wales and Northern Ireland.
The second day of team matches saw Scotland lose another close match to France before a heavy defeat to Ireland.
Facing a big uphill task Scotland were compounded to further defeats to World Champions England and Malta in the remaining group fixtures.

England, Ireland and Wales topped the final group with 1 defeat each.
England and Wales progressed to the final with close victories over Malta and Ireland respectively.
The final went to a decider with England edging it 8-7.

The Scotland B team started well with a convincing win against the Channel Isles.
This was followed by narrow defeats to England and Ireland.
They finished the group strongly with an emphatic 14-1 defeat of Northern Ireland to progress to the semi finals.
Scotland good run was ended in the semi final with defeat to Ireland who went on to face England in the final.
England ran out 8-3 winners over Ireland in the final.

Philip Craig and Alan Scott were joint top player of the tournament in the Mens B section

Despite a narrow win over the Channel Isles, Scotland Ladies struggled in the group stages.
They finished with four defeats and just missed out on a semi final place.
After topping the group stage, Northern Ireland crashed out in the semi finals to Ireland.
In the other semi final England beat Wales to reach the final.
In a one sided final, England destroyed Ireland to regain the title.

With only 3 teams entered in the Under 21 section, they played each other 3 times in the group stages.
Scotland only managed to beat Ireland once, and failed to progress to the final.
In a close final England defeated Ireland to win the Under 21 team event.

Scotland had mixed fortunes in the group stage with good wins over the Channel Isles and Northern Ireland.
Defeats to England and Ireland meant they finished the group in third place.
In the semi final they played Ireland and this time defeated them to reach the final against England.
England ran out convincing winners in the final to take the title.

Scotland lost their opening match to England but came back with 2 big wins against Ireland A & B.
Another defeat to England was followed by another good win against Ireland B which secured Scotlands place in the final against England.
Scotland pushed England all the way in the final only to lose 5-3.
