Unfortunately for a Scottish event the turnout was disappointing, but this could be to the closeness of the Home Internationals in Telford at the end of the month.

The play from the attending players however was up to the usual standard, with Susan Collins maybe just not reaching the form that has taken her to the top of the Ladies Tour Ranking List.
Karin Burt breezed through her group games with the usual aplomb, leaving Scottish Internationals Debby Greig,Susan Collins and Pauline Hay to fight it out for the other place in the final.
Debby played possibly her best pool this season to pip both Susan and Pauline by frame difference to meet Karin Burt in the final.
Debby was thrilled to bits to reach her first final ,where she played much better than the 5 – 1 scoreline to Karin suggests.
