Business as usual for “Sweeties”
Susan “Sweeties” Collins started the 2008 SEPF Ladies Tour where she left off in 2007, with a win.
She beat a very gallant Grace Thain 7 frames to 4 in the final of Tour 1, held at the Bowl 2000 in Elgin.
This was Graces first Tour final, having played steady pool throughout the day, and she was very pleased to have finally “come of age” as it were and shown us what she can do!
She was not outclassed in the final , but Susans’ Scottish International experience showed through in the end to give her the first title of 2008.
Also playing well was Debby Greig, who overcame a 5 – 0 defeat in one match but came back in the next to beat Scottish International Pauline Hay 5 – 1 to qualify for the Semi – finals.
Unfortunately for Debby she then came up against the in form Sweeties, who won fairly comfortably 6 – 2.
