Final

Congratulations to Karin Burt on retaining her Scottish Ladies Masters title, beating Emma Raeburn 7-4 in the final.

Emma ran the defending champion close in one of the group matches, Karin just edging the game 5-3.

In the final a more confident Emma emerged, showing what she can really do on a pool table, running into a 3-1 lead before the 2009 Tour No 1 upped a gear and ran out a 7-4 winner.

Karin was over the moon to retain her title stating "I am delighted to have kept the trophy, I really didn't want to give it back. I definitely had to work for it against Emma."

When asked about her opponent Karin said, "It was nice to see a relaxed Emma and see what she can really do, this goes to show that we really hadn't seen the best of her. I was particularly impressed with her development of the frames while potting balls, she said she had been practicing it is nice to see that it has paid off, if not in ability but in her confidence. She is definitely a force to be reckoned with this season and in the future."
