The second Border Tour event took place at Galashiels; a great day's play with a strong local entry saw most matches very closely fought.
Craig Reid notched up three impressive wins against good players Scott Simpson, Kevin MacKay and Christopher Wildig just losing out to Barry Young at the semi final stage.
Gary Patterson lost out by one frame to John Murray in a canny tactical battle in the second semi final.
John Murray (Monty's Bar, Lockerbie) emerged the tour event winner fighting back against Barry Young (Blue Bell, Lockerbie) who taken an early 3 frames to nil lead.
John snatched the final frame to win playing with a borrowed cue after losing his tip to take advantage of a rare Barry Young miss into the centre pocket.
